Troncones (Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo, Mexico)
VOTED # 1 International Destination by TripAdvisor.com!!!!! We are so excited here in our little village. Please check it out at www.tripadvisor.com.
There have been many news worthy events this year in our little slice of heaven! On December 5th, we opened UH-Oh!! an upscale boutique on the beachfront Casa de la Sirena compound. Brimming with Mexican arts and crafts and Troncones momentos, we are thrilled to travel this beautiful country and hand pick each and every item for our guests and clients.

TRONCONES GIRLS MAKE GOOD!
- Dinner with Humberto
- BECKY’S MERMAID
This photo, “Becky’s Mermaid” is so special to me. Doug and Becky Stow stayed with us last year. Doug has been a fabulous painter for lots of years and this was Becky’s FIRST PAINTING!!!
And, she gave it to me!!! She has inspired me and I am hoping to return to my painting lessons when we get back to the beach.
We have been busily preparing for high season. We are doing allot of upgrades, painting, re-upholstering and generally just making the private villa and 2 story bungalows “new” again. It is beautiful now and will be even more so by the 1st of November when it is complete.
GARDEN TIME! Yes, we are hoping for a great garden this year to accompany our chives, basil, chilis, mangoes, papayas and limons. We have planted tomatos, squash, warm weather spinach, rosemary and red bell peppers hoping that our love of gardening and attention to the plants surpasses the challenge of the salt air that comes with being right on the ocean. If anyone has any tips, we would love it if you would share!
We are grateful that the hurricane by passed us and Jessica and Jarrod’s sunset beachfront wedding and celebration was perfect! Destination weddings in Mexico need not be expensive or difficult. Just let us help!
Our “cast of regular” Mexican surfer dudes were back for their annual trip (actually, back twice) and made a great Mexico Troncones surfing video available for view on our website. Thank you to Mike and the guys at Swellmagnet.com.
We still have a cancellation for the private villa over Thanksgiving week. Make us an offer! If you have never visited us before, this is a perfect opportunity for a romantic get-a-way or a last minute family escape. We’ll leave the lights on!

Beachfront Private Villa with Private Pool
Mika and I are at our boat for the weekend in the California Delta hoping that Hurricane Rick turns west. We have a compound full of guests and there is to be a beachfront wedding this evening with a celebration reception following. I will post the pictures as soon as they share them!
Humberto ans the staff are working to make our guests’ Mexican Beachfront Vacation (Destination Wedding)the best they could ever imagine. Ana cooked a welcome dinner of chili rellanos for about 20…light duty for her! Luis’ margaritas were their normal huge hit and the party began!
