Mexico vacation travel is fun any time of the year, but most people flock to the sandy beaches and sunny shores during the high season. Running from mid-November through Easter, this is the time of the year when the warm weather, low-key atmosphere, and luxury amenities appeal the most to vacationers. There is no better time to step away from the winter blahs and enjoy a family getaway than during this busy, holiday season when the Mexican coast is at its peak.

If you enjoy travel but want to do it in a way that is ecologically responsible, eco-tours are a great vacation choice. From wildlife adventures to excursions that make contributions to local ecological societies, you can enjoy the native flora and fauna without damaging it for future generations. Here at Casa de la Sirena, we fully support eco-tourism and are proud to offer it as part of our list of services.
Most Mexico vacation villas are all about getting away and enjoying some time on the beach with a drink in hand—and there’s nothing wrong with that scenario. But if you’re looking for something a little bit beyond the traditional tropical vacation, we have the Mexico eco-tours you want.

- BECKY’S MERMAID
This photo, “Becky’s Mermaid” is so special to me. Doug and Becky Stow stayed with us last year. Doug has been a fabulous painter for lots of years and this was Becky’s FIRST PAINTING!!!
And, she gave it to me!!! She has inspired me and I am hoping to return to my painting lessons when we get back to the beach.
We have been busily preparing for high season. We are doing allot of upgrades, painting, re-upholstering and generally just making the private villa and 2 story bungalows “new” again. It is beautiful now and will be even more so by the 1st of November when it is complete.
GARDEN TIME! Yes, we are hoping for a great garden this year to accompany our chives, basil, chilis, mangoes, papayas and limons. We have planted tomatos, squash, warm weather spinach, rosemary and red bell peppers hoping that our love of gardening and attention to the plants surpasses the challenge of the salt air that comes with being right on the ocean. If anyone has any tips, we would love it if you would share!
We are grateful that the hurricane by passed us and Jessica and Jarrod’s sunset beachfront wedding and celebration was perfect! Destination weddings in Mexico need not be expensive or difficult. Just let us help!
Our “cast of regular” Mexican surfer dudes were back for their annual trip (actually, back twice) and made a great Mexico Troncones surfing video available for view on our website. Thank you to Mike and the guys at Swellmagnet.com.
We still have a cancellation for the private villa over Thanksgiving week. Make us an offer! If you have never visited us before, this is a perfect opportunity for a romantic get-a-way or a last minute family escape. We’ll leave the lights on!
