Beachfront Private Villa with Private Pool
Mika and I are at our boat for the weekend in the California Delta hoping that Hurricane Rick turns west. We have a compound full of guests and there is to be a beachfront wedding this evening with a celebration reception following. I will post the pictures as soon as they share them!
Humberto ans the staff are working to make our guests’ Mexican Beachfront Vacation (Destination Wedding)the best they could ever imagine. Ana cooked a welcome dinner of chili rellanos for about 20…light duty for her! Luis’ margaritas were their normal huge hit and the party began!
Following is a link of an actual wedding at Casa de la Sirena (Troncones): Beach Wedding in Mexico.
With the storm (Hurricane Rick) near our shores, I am sure that the surfing is unbelievable. We are fortunate to have breaks that offer year round waves, (good ol’ Mexican surfing) but what can compete with this kind of action! Check out the surfing video on our website, www.casadelasirena.net or www.houseofthemermaid.com.
We have special pricing available on the private villa for Thanksgiving week and a couple of weeks in January…..run for the border to a Barefoot Beachfront Mexican Vacation! Email us for details.

Mexico beach vacation
WE ARE SO EXCITED to announce our completion of our new website design! Please visit www.casadelasirena.net for updated photos and our new look. We would love your feedback regarding anything else that you would like to see on the site.
Our “cast of regulars” will be sad to hear that 2 of Troncones’ most beloved residents passed away this summer. Dwayne, who always had a smile and could be found every Sunday holding court over the BBQ at Eden left us in May. Anita, the official Godmother of everyone in the village (natives, Ex Pats, visitors….literally everyone!) passed away in June. She was and will always be a Troncones icon and the village will have a huge empty spot where both of these great people once lived. It takes special kind of people to “make a village” and both of these friends certainly fit the bill.
Summers are off (slow) season in our part of the world and this year more so than most. We have the most spectacular thunder storms this time of the year. It usually rains at night….and it can just pour! We love it and need the rain. Everything is so green right now. Soon the blue morning glories will start lining the road from Zihua. They never seem to end this time of year.
The beach is quite a force this season as well. It changes faces with every season and perhaps that is why we “water people” so love the Pacific Ocean. To sip coffee in the mornings and watch for whales to cruise by, laugh at the never ending antics of the pelicans, wonder at the predator fish chasing the bait balls….all in a day’s work!
Maria is still mesmerizing our guests with her smile, Ana is just amazing all with her cooking talents. Humberto moved onto the compound last year and Antonio welcomed his first baby a few months ago. We are so blessed with our staff and they are such family to us. Doesn’t get much better than this!
The rumors persist about a “village” sewer system, paving the road, Mick Jagger and Lady Gaga buying the lot next door. That would make for fabulous fundraisers! LOL
Speaking of raising funds, I am so please that the Casa de la Sirena compound raised almost $1000 U.S. last season for the Zihuatanejo version of the U.S. SPCA. Thank you to all our guests, neighbors and everyone that contributed. This group is over the top. I visited them last December in Majahua (so small it is a stretch to call it a village) down the road. They spayed/neutered 121 dogs and cats with NO RUNNING WATER OR ELECTRICITY! This organization is so committed and we are so proud to help them in any way we can. What a difference they make.
SPECIALS….we just had a cancellation on the private villa (3 bedrooms, private beachfront pool) during Thanksgiving week so we are offering the villa at a 25% discount…..GREAT DEAL at $2365.00/week!
We have a few other cancellation specials to offer. Contact us for availability.
We hope to see you south of the border soon. It’s time to celebrate your inner fiesta!
